We're not a tutor marketplace, so nobody gets left on their own. Your tutor works with our founder (qualified SEN & education specialist) and the wider Toucan team. Our tutors are trained and write weekly reports, and we review and refine every learner's plan each week.
We teach online, with in-person sessions in Bristol, London and Oxfordshire, subject to tutor availability. Each tutor's subjects and local availability are set out below.
Joshua Gordon Jones
Founder · Psychology graduate, qualified SEN & education specialist
“Hello, my name is Josh. I started Toucan Learn after seeing too many students forgotten about, or handed worksheets and left to get on with it. We’re here so every student can have a team behind them. I provide English, Psychology and SEN support, and I oversee every lesson at Toucan Learn.”
I have a 2:1 in BSc Psychology, with a first-class mark (80) in neurodevelopmental disorders. I’ve spent over seven years working with children and young people, specialising in one-to-one SEN support, and now lead the team at Toucan Learn. I also have over five years of professional writing experience and am currently preparing for a PhD in Educational Psychology. I’m also Team Teach qualified. I’ve been teaching learners with ADHD, autism, dyslexia, PDA and DLD since day one. I oversee every lesson and work closely with our team to provide the most effective support possible.
