The Orbit Cup
By Kit · fictional match report
COMETS3 : 2MOON ROVERS
The Comets were one goal down with two minutes left. I thought the Orbit Cup was gone. Then our captain spotted a gap and passed instead of shooting. That mattered because three defenders were blocking the goal. We scored, and suddenly everybody was shouting.
The winner came from a corner. The ball bounced off the post and rolled to me. I hit it with my left foot, which is usually my terrible foot. This time it worked! We won 3–2. My favourite part was the pass before the equaliser. Being brave doesn't always mean taking the shot yourself.
How it grew +
First draft
We played the Moon Rovers. We were losing but then we scored two goals. I scored the last one. It was good and we won the cup.
Improved version
“The Comets were one goal down with two minutes left. I thought the Orbit Cup was gone.”
The full report above now explains why the pass mattered and ends with Kit's own reflection.
Sample tutor note: Kit kept their own voice, added a stronger opening and explained a reason, so the reader can picture the match.

The adventure. And the progress.
A sample lesson report — entirely fictional. A personal world gives the work a home; clear reporting helps families see what is growing.
SAMPLE REPORT / KIT
This session we covered
Turning a match into a report, explaining a key pass and practising the 3, 4 and 6 times tables.
I was impressed by
Kit's opening built suspense. They explained why passing was the better choice and checked a tricky calculation.
We'll keep working at
Breaking writing into paragraphs and using known multiplication facts to work out unfamiliar ones.
Next time we'll cover
A stadium on a new planet: sketch the pitch, calculate its perimeter and write a visitor's guide.
A small demo. Your own starting point.
What would your world be about?
Your first session is free. Then £40 per hour, with collaborative planning and ongoing review led by Joshua.
